The View From Our Cabin

This was the view of Lake Quinault from our cabin. We were staying just south of Olympic National Park at the Lochaerie Resort. We both highly recommend the place, it's wonderful.

Beach Stones Worn Smooth

There were miles of these stones worn smooth. It was incredible. For someone (me)inclined to pick up and either skip or save nearly all shiny smooth rocks, this place presented a grave distraction. I did manage to get one of these to skip five times across the river that flowed into the ocean here.

The Hall of Moss.

Jen pointed out that these trees looked like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. I haven't doctored the photo, those are the actual colors.

Our Cabin

That's Christie (the name for our cabin). It was a beautiful place, and a great cabin. Fireplace, gas stove--very nice.
